Since our humble beginnings in 1905, Providence has significantly grown and expanded our continuum of care, due in part to the faithful support of the community who called upon the Daughters to start Waco’s first hospital. Every day, over 1,700 people entrust their care to Providence, and we are honored by God’s call to serve.
In a rapidly changing and an increasingly challenging healthcare environment, the support of our community partners is even more vital to our commitment to provide the highest quality care for all, right here at home. The Providence Foundation invites your organization to support the 1905 Campaign as a Corporate Impact Partner. By contributing to The 1905 Campaign, you are making an important investment in the health and wellness of your employees, family, friends and neighbors, while honoring the Daughters’ response to our community’s need over a century ago.
For more information about how your company can become a Corporate Impact Partner of Providence, please contact Meagan Meadors, Coordinator of Foundation Relations at Meagan.Meadors@phn-waco.org or 254.751.4490.
"If you have been in business since 1633 like the Daughters, you know a little bit about stability and business. If you are going to be in business for centuries, you must have a way to finance the future" -Terry Stevens
Did You Know?
Unlike cloistered nuns, the Daughters of Charity were active and present in their communities, available to the poor, sick, vulnerable and people in need. Itis because the Daughters of Charity were so active in their ministry, that the signature Cornette white headdress was created. Cornettes were worn by the Daugthers to brave the elements as they travelled to and from those in need.
